How Can The Celiac App Make GF Life Healthier & Less Stressful?

Everything you need right at your fingertips. The Dining guide and label Decoded is where I most frequently visit. Going back out to restaurants to eat & making grocery shopping a lot easier when products don't have a GF label. The product database is amazing as well. Gives us an opportunity to see the products everyone else recommends instead of trying a ton of them ourselves. Soo many amazing things to say about this app. If you haven't downloaded it yet - run - you won't be disappointed.
This App is an Absolute Lifesaver

It's clear a tremendous amount of thoughtful effort went into the creation of this app. I recently went on a trip and used the app multiples times for navigating restaurant menus, checking ingredients etc. I appreciate that the team who designed it thought through how the app would be utilized in the real world and put effort into details so that questions would be answered even before being asked. I'm so grateful this app exists and to the team who put it together. Having celiac is a daily burden and having supportive tools like this is a game changer.
Comprehensive and helpful

This app was developed by The Celiac Space founder Erin Kenny, RD, whose advice is based on her scientific background and living with celiac disease. A Registered Dietitian (RD) is a professional with education and clinical training in food and nutrition sciences. RD’s have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a school accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. In addition, RDs must complete an ACEND-accredited internship and pass a national examination by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). Phew! That’s a lot of education!
A. Two reasons:
1.) Having all your GF resources neatly organized in one place, plus the ability to bookmark those things you’ve Googled a hundred times already, is priceless.
2.) Registered Dietitians verify the advice and resources in this app. They adhere to a professional code of ethics requiring them only to provide science-backed, accurate information, so there is no need to search elsewhere!
Yes, the app is beneficial if you are in Canada. It's packed with tons of info on the gluten-free diet and celiac disease, which applies no matter where you live.
For example;
How to interpret food labels (based on US label laws, but Canadian laws are actually easier and more straightforward, so following the app's recommendations will still help you find safe products)
Important questions to ask when dining out
Effective management of celiac disease with follow-up care
While some content might be more focused on the US like specific chain restaurants and products, many of those you will also have in Canada!
We're here to support your gluten-free journey! The Celiac App offers a wide range of information at your fingertips through our guides, covering various topics and insights for maintaining a gluten-free diet. Most answers can be found within the app.
Have questions or content requests? Use our "Ask a Question" feature to reach our experts directly. We're here to clarify sections, provide additional guides, and answer any content-related queries you have.
For personalized assistance, we offer one-on-one coaching with our team of Registered Dietitian specializing in celiac disease and gluten-free living. We accept Cigna, UHC, and BCBS. Please contact us to determine your coverage options.
No, The Celiac App does not function as a food scanner.
We purposely left it out because we want to teach you how to eat gluten-free without relying solely on an app to give you "yes" or "no" answers about products.
Instead, we'll guide you through label reading in our app's Label Guide section. It'll show you all the ins and outs of reading labels, so you can become confident in choosing gluten-free products on your own. We believe in giving you the knowledge and skills to make informed decisions and embrace a gluten-free lifestyle with confidence.
